Always wash your underwear on a delicate or handwash setting and at a low temperature. If you have the time, washing your underwear by hand with a delicate detergent is even better! If you need to put your underwear in the washing machine, place it inside a mesh laundry bag to ensure that it doesn’t catch on other clothes. When it comes to bras, make sure the hook-and-eye clasps are closed to prevent a stray hook from damaging delicate fabrics.
What’s the best way to fold my underwear?
Contrary to popular belief, you shouldn’t fold your bra into itself. Instead, lay your bras flat and unfolded, one on top of the other, inside a mesh laundry bag or drawer. Never hang your bra up on a hanger as its own weight will stretch the straps and lead to an uncomfortable fit. Your knickers should also be laid flat inside a mesh laundry bag or drawer and stacked one on top of the other. Store your bras away from your knickers to prevent the hook-and-eye closure from snagging on delicate lace or soft mesh.
