Transgender Awareness Week

Every November, Transgender Awareness Week is celebrated by members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies, to raise trans visibility, advocate for trans rights and platform issues faced by members of the transgender community.

At Lemonade we’re proud to say we will always be LGBTQ+ allies and we’re always here to support our trans family, in any way possible. To us, transgender awareness week is about celebrating trans voices & bodies, educating ourselves on trans history and opening a dialogue within our own community about the injustices towards transgender people.

At Lemonade we celebrate every-body, identity and story.
All of our underwear is made for anyone who wants to wear it, and we’re currently working on adding a specially designed range of products for trans and non-binary bodies to our range in the future, because everyone should be able to wear gorgeous underwear that they love!

This Transgender Awareness Week at Lemonade we’re so excited to launch a very special photo series in collaboration with LGBTQ+ Icon Jay Jackson AKA Laganja Estranja. Coming out as transgender in 2021, you may know Jay from when she appeared on the sixth season of Rupaul’s Drag Race, but she’s also a world renowned dancer, choreographer, cannabis advocate and LGBTQ+ rights activist.

Shot by Robert Hayman, who’s also photographed and directed music videos for our own founder and CEO Lemon, Jay wanted these photos to show herself in a different light, stepping away from her drag persona and instead highlighting her natural beauty and femininity, with a little bit of help from our Lemonade lingerie sets of course. We’re totally here for how stunning she looks!
