Supporting Black Female Founded Businesses

As part of our content dedicated to platforming Black voices for Black History Month, we’ve put together a list of Black-female owned businesses for you to discover and support.

Made up of real suggestions sent in after Lemon reached out to our community on Instagram, we’re so excited to share them with everyone and thank you to all our followers for sharing their suggestions.

Image Gang

Come for the jewellery, stay for the vibes - Founded in South London, accessories brand Image Gang creates affordable yet stylish and high-quality gold jewellery inspired by girl power, togetherness and founder Isabelle White’s community of courageous young women. We love their personalised name plate necklaces and range of anklets which come in inclusive sizing!

Studio Seventy

Paying homage to 70’s era aesthetics, Studio Seventy creates luxury timeless garments which can be worn and loved for a lifetime. Founded by London-based designer Liberty Rose Yates in 2020, Studio Seventy’s first drop features some seriously stylish pieces, ranging from printed bikinis to mesh dresses, matching two-piece sets and accessories.

Good Mela

Founded by culture, moulded by science - Good Mela is a vegan, cruelty free and conscious beauty & wellness brand changing cosmetics as we know it. Providing products and shades for all, Good Mela’s products are a love letter to the founder, Mela's Jamaican heritage and Caribbean culture. Not only do we love their products, but we also love the fact that a percentage of their profits are donated to reproduction dysfunction research foundations.

Dee’s Basement

Founded in East London, Dee’s Basement is a Cake and Confectionary studio founded by Dee Omole, specialising in unique and picture perfect desserts. Creating bespoke and postal orders, Dee’s passion for baking came from baking with her mother and creating sugary treats for friends. We are absolutely obsessed with her hand painted chocolate madeleines, they almost look too good to eat.

Bon Mangé

Born from a love of food, Bon Mangé crafts natural, homemade products along with creating recipes and hosting pop-up dining bringing St Lucian cuisine and Caribbean flavours to the masses. Check out their signature Aunty Val’s hot sauce, a totally vegan family recipe packed with flavour.
